Owner: Nqobizitha Mlilo
🎯 Goal
To ensure high-touch client service by providing consistent, daily updates on active projects. This builds trust and keeps clients informed without them having to ask for progress.
📋 Update Components
A daily project update should include:
- Status Summary: What happened today (e.g., "Files downloaded and audited").
- Visual Progress: Attachments or links to screenshots, WIP renders, or UI mockups.
- Next Steps: What the team is focusing on for the next 24 hours.
- Admin/Finance (If needed): Separate mention of any pending invoices or receipts.
🔄 Execution Workflow
1. Data Capture (Internal)
- Directus: Add a message to the
os_project_updatescollection for the specific project. - Tasks: Update the corresponding entry in
os_tasks. Ensure tasks intended for the client are markedis_visible_to_client = true.
2. Client Handoff (Gmail/Directus)
- Email: Send a personalized email for major milestones or daily briefings.
- Separate Admin Communication: Always send financial documents (Receipts, Proposals) in a separate email thread from creative updates to keep the conversation focused.
3. Handoff Criteria
- File Audit: Confirm files are manageable, complete, and formatted correctly.
- UI/UX: Share mockups via Figma or direct screenshots for feedback.
📈 Standard for "Nafuna Updates"
- Tone: Professional, proactive, and creative-focused.
- Clarity: Avoid technical jargon that the client may not understand.
- Frequency: Daily for active production phases.
