For Winky D's “Ngirozi,” we set out to create a visually striking blend of live-action performance and custom 2D illustrations to bring the song's themes of resilience and hope to life.

Production approach

Utilizing dynamic camera movements, layered animations, and color-graded VFX, we integrated animated motifs seamlessly into the physical world, deepening the emotional impact of Winky D's lyrics.

Results

The video garnered over 800,000 views in its first week, reinforcing the artist's reputation for powerful storytelling through music and showcasing Nafuna Africa's unique hybrid animation capabilities.
