AI Didn’t Replace Me — It Multiplied Me
For years, I dreamed of building creative products that could scale: a mobile game that could teach kids African languages, a digital campus that could train the next generation of storytellers. I wasn’t short on ideas. But I was always short on time, and sometimes, technical skills. That’s changed. Not because I suddenly became a genius — but because I learned how to multiply myself using AI.
🚀 Building Nafuna Avenues with AI and Godot
Nafuna Avenues is a mobile game designed to teach kids culture and language in a fun, playable way. A few years ago, developing this kind of game from scratch would’ve taken a full team and several months of coding.
Today, using Godot and AI coding tools like Cursor and Windsurf, I’ve been able to:
-
Rapidly prototype features using AI-assisted coding
-
Fix bugs and optimize gameplay logic in real time
-
Turn visual mockups into functional code with minimal barrier
It’s not that AI did it for me — it’s that it worked with me. I still lead, direct, and make decisions. But the heavy lifting is now shared with a system that speeds up execution.
🎓 Scaling Nafuna Campus with AI Automation
Our second major project — Nafuna Campus — is a digital learning platform. In the past, building an LMS (Learning Management System) would’ve required a lot of money, time, and specialized development support.
But with AI and no-code/low-code tools, we’ve been able to:
-
Generate entire site structures using AI prompts
-
Build learning modules, quizzes, and interactive flows without deep code
-
Automate onboarding, course publishing, and content updates using n8n and other AI-integrated systems
Again — this doesn’t replace the creative or strategic work. It amplifies it. One person can now move like a full product team. That’s game-changing.
🤖 AI as My Creative Teammate
I use AI in every part of our business:
-
Writing scripts for explainer videos (Ngano)
-
Generating images and moodboards for visual design
-
Debugging game logic
-
Systematizing project workflows
Where I used to feel blocked by limited time or technical depth, AI tools now give me leverage. They extend my ideas into production without killing momentum.
🔁 The Real Shift: From Replacement to Multiplication
There’s a common fear that AI will replace creatives. My experience has been the opposite. It’s made me more creative, more productive, and more confident.
I’m no longer trying to do everything manually. I’m designing systems. Building pipelines. Turning ideas into products faster than ever before.
🎯 Final Thought
If you’re a creative in Africa wondering whether AI is for you, I’ll say this: it’s not a threat — it’s a tool. One that can turn your solo project into a scaled impact.
AI didn’t replace me. It multiplied me.
